Conjoined twin, former TLC star Abby Hensel now married to Army veteran

Abby and Brittany Hensel, a pair of conjoined twins who once had their own TLC reality series, have an exciting secret that's just coming to light -- Abby has been married for more than two years.

The 34-year-old twin reportedly married Josh Bowling, a U.S. Army veteran and current nurse, in a private ceremony in November 2021.

Although news of the marriage is only now making headlines, pictures from the wedding have been up on the twins' TikTok page for almost a year. Photos and videos, including a clip of Bowling and the twins dancing at the reception, have also been on his mom's Facebook since the special day.

Abby and Brittany are considered dicephalus conjoined twins, meaning they share a bloodstream and organs below the waist, and have previously talked about wanting to have children.

"Yeah, we're going to be moms," Brittany said in the 2003 documentary "Joined for Life." "We haven't thought about how being moms is going to work yet. But we're just 16 -- we don't need to think about that right now."

Abby, however, is now a stepmom to Bowling's 8-year-old daughter, Isabella Rose, from a previous relationship.

Although the twins remain connected at the hip and would physically share in the birth of any biological children in the future, Bowling is only technically married to Abby.

The reveal of their marriage has sparked many questions from fans and outsiders on the arrangement with Brittany, but so far there's been no public statement from any of the parties involved.

The Bowlings reportedly live together in Minnesota, where the Hensel twins were born and raised and where they currently teach fifth grade, according to TODAY.

Abby and Brittany first shot to fame after appearing on the "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in 1996, and appeared on the cover of Life magazine that same year.

After starring in several TV documentaries, they landed their own TLC series, "Abby and Brittany," which ended after just one season in 2012.
